Fiamma Fumana in Second Life! (Italiano)

Beh, era nelle cose. Dopotutto – con tutto il mio scetticismo – sono un membro anziano della comunità italiana in Second Life, essendone diventato residente nientemeno che nel settembre 2006. In Second Life ho fatto lo studente (a UnAcademy), il conferenziere (a Kublai), il trascinatore (al Museo delle mondine) il commentatore/osservatore (per esempio di Velas e Roberta come infrastrutture sociali per l’innovazione). Però non ci ho mai fatto musica.

Questa cosa sta per cambiare. I Fiamma Fumana al completo suoneranno alla prima Festa dell’Unità di Second Life (e faranno un concerto VERO, niente roba preregistrata). Quindi scaricate il programma, createvi l’avatar e venite a Genesi Italia, sotto al Museo delle mondine, il 23 giugno sera. Ci divertiremo!

Well, it could be expected. After all, for all my being skeptical about it, I am a senior member of the Italian community in Second Life, having first logged in in September 2006. In my Second Life I was a student at UnAcademy, a lecturer at Kublai, a sort of guru at the Mondine museum, a commentator (for example of Velas and Roberta as social infrastructures for innovation). But I have never made any music inworld.

This is about to change. Fiamma Fumana will perform at the first Festa dell’Unità of Second Life (a sort of progressive-liberal political rally, which has a deep real life tradition in my native Emilia Romagna region). And we’ll do a REAL live gig, none of the prerecorded stuff that a lot of people do inworld. So download the software, create your avatar an jump in. See you at Genesi Italia, just beneath the Mondine museum. It’ll be fun!

Ma guarda… mi ha scritto Donald Shaw, il direttore artistico di Celtic Connections, chiedendomi di autorizzare la BBC a riprendere il nostro concerto di mercoledì 31. Magnanimo come sempre, ho acconsentito :mrgreen: Nel frattempo si è definito il programma della serata, che è questo:

7.30pm (20 mins) – Grace Hewat & Polwart (a trio of Scottish voices)
7.50pm (15 mins) – Mairi Smith (solo Gaelic singer from Isle of Lewis)
8.05pm (40 mins) – Bulgarian Women’s Choir, Angelite
8.45pm interval (25 mins)
9.10pm (20 mins) – the Aberfeldy Gaelic Choir (directed by Margaret Bennett)
9.30pm (45 mins) – Coro delle Mondine di Novi with band Fiamma Fumana
10.15pm – there is a thought that all the voices could come together for one song at the end of the night. this may not be possible due to time restraints, but if there is any songs which you think may work as a ‘together’ song, please let me know. But at the same time, please do not worry if there is nothing that comes to mind.

Per il finale, si pensa a una Bella ciao guidata da noi, con inserimenti degli altri artisti. Abbiamo già fatto una cosa del genere in Canada nel 2004, con James Graham e i Warsaw Village Band, che secondo me è spettacolare… l’ho caricata su Last.fm, e potete ascoltarla (anche) cliccando sul tasto play qui sotto.
